    Objective of Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

    The objective of Benazir Taleemi Wazaif are:

    • To develop in BISP recipient families a lasting, sustainable understanding of the value of elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education;
    • To raise the number of students enrolled in elementary, intermediate, and upper secondary education;
    • To increase children’s attendance at school; and
    • To lower the rate of school abandonment.

    Registration and Enrollment

    One of the main functions of the Taleemi Wazaif program is enrollment. Following the conclusion of the SCA, a mass registration process is initiated, encompassing all possible beneficiaries. Potential families for the Taleemi Wazaif are invited to registration centers and tehsil offices that have been set up nearby by beneficiary communication at the local level and a widespread Public Information Campaign (PIC) (media campaign). After Taleemi Wazaif’s prospective family successfully completes the registration process, the family and any qualifying children become program beneficiaries.

    Finding and registering active BISP families with children (4–12 years old) for primary education, (8–18 years old) for secondary education, and (13–22 years old) for higher secondary education is the aim of the registration procedure.
