BISP kafalat program New Payment Update

BISP kafalat program: During the 58th Board meeting of the Benazir Income Support Program, Federal Minister Shazia Marri announced that the stipend for account beneficiaries would be increased by 25%. This decision was made after the recommendation of the Indication Committee was approved during the meeting, which was held on Monday in the committee room of the Sindh Assembly building in Karachi. As a result of this increase, the monthly cash assistance for beneficiaries, known as samahi wazifa, will rise from seven thousand rupees to 8,750 rupees.

The new payment model pilot will be introduced in four selected country districts and the cash assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Once the pilot proves successful, beneficiaries across the country will be able to open bank accounts of their choice and receive their cash assistance through this mode of payment.

It is encouraging to see that the government is taking steps to increase financial support for those in need and to make it more accessible through modern payment methods. This will not only help alleviate poverty but also empower people to manage their finances in a more efficient and convenient way.

Facilitation for remote areas of Balochistan

In addition to the increase in stipend, during the 58th Board meeting of the Benazir Income Support Program, it was decided that mobile units will be used to register people in Balochistan and other remote areas. The members of the Board recognized that due to the geographical challenges of the province, Balochistan required special attention. They also acknowledged that some people may find it difficult to reach the ISP centers in the area.

To address this issue, the Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), who was present at the meeting, was asked to make extra efforts to help people in remote areas of Balochistan to obtain their identity cards. This will enable them to register for the Benazir Income Support Program and access the financial assistance they require.

It is a positive step to see that the government is committed to helping those in need, even in the most remote areas of the country. By utilizing mobile units, they will be able to reach a larger number of people and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from the support programs available.

    BISP New Registration

During the 58th Board meeting of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), it was reported that 575 centers are now operational in ISP Tehsil Offices across the country for the new process of dynamic registration of the National Socio-Economic Registration (NSER). This new process will enable more efficient and effective registration of beneficiaries for the program.

The Board also approved an Internship Program for new graduates of universities who have experience in working with the Benazir Income Support Programme. This program aims to provide opportunities for young professionals to gain valuable experience and contribute to the ongoing efforts to alleviate poverty in the country.

It is encouraging to see that the BISP Board is taking steps to improve the registration process and also investing in the development of young professionals. By doing so, they are ensuring that the program remains sustainable and effective in providing assistance to those in need.
